The new DS will be released in Japan in April and was given a release date of "next year" in the U.S and would cost $169.99 and would be avaliable in blue and black.
Does look kinda snazzy, i just feel like I'll be wasting my regular DS. Besides you can't play old GBA (game boy advance) games.But, I say this now, I know I'll want one by April =)

The price is $160 I believe. I think they are going for a spring release, which is kind of weird. They had it all set up to go, but waited until after the Holiday season?...who am I kidding, that won't matter, it'll sell out with the quickness.
i knew i read somewhere it was an earlier release, i went to the horse's mouth (nintendo.com) and edited the entry with better up-to-date details.
