Okay, okay. So when I first heard about this game, I got super excited. It sounded like everything World of Warcraft was not. Also, it involved one of my favorite aspects of online gaming, PVP (player vs. player for you non-dorkulons). I cancelled my Warcraft account, bought the much needed ram update for my PC and I was ready to go. I even had some old Everquest friends that were on a server to help me out. Needless to say, I played it for about a month before it left me wanting to go back to Warcraft. Instead of being completely negative about it, I'll list the pros and cons, so its easy for someone to weigh out their options.

Pros:
-BEAUTIFUL graphics

-Leveling Experience could be gained through PVP
-Lots of available quests for solo or group play
-Public Quests that would allow you to gain exp with other players in the area by killing monsters or performing tasks for a common goal

Cons:
-Although you can move around if you'd like, you're mostly stuck with members of your race fighting on your "home front" until the higher levels.
-Every race has its own classes. For instance, only High Elves can be Arch Mages, and no other race would have that class. Although its usually balanced, there are some races that lack decent healers, or say tanks.
-Not many armor graphics. I like games where your character can be customized to look unique. Although Warhammer allows you the ability to dye armor, the base graphics all look very similar for each class. The same goes for weapons graphics.

-And it just lacked that "feeling" you get when you play an MMORPG that you love. Its a hard concept to explain. I kept wanting to play Everquest when i started back in high school, so much that I played for almost 4 years. Then EverQuest 2 came out and it just didn't hold me. I went a couple years and then tried World of Warcraft and it had that 'it' factor for me.

I would give Warhammer Online 3 out of 5 stars, with 5 being completely awesome and 1 being basically a video game abortion.
